After Thirunandhikarai, we have a temple of Ponmanai situated between Pechipparai Dam, Perunchani Dam, and the Pandian Dam. The influence of Pandia reign is explicit in this temple. It is because, we have the symbol of fish every where in this temple.
Mangalam, next to Ponmanai, was the boundary of the Nanjil Nadu. This can be understood from scriblings on the palm leaves in the house of Mudaliar. Nanjil Nadu was from Mangalam to Manakkudi.
